On Writing and Toilets consists of two posters of writing attached to two toilets doors. They were written specifically for a group exhibition in The Ship, a former pub. One poster completely covers the door to the Gents; the other covers the door to the Ladies. The posters cover over the signs which tell you which door is which, although this can be discovered by reading the extensive text. A4 versions of the text are also available to take away, although the text of one poster is in the Gents and the other in the Ladies, so that either a little social interaction, or a little social transgression, is needed to get them both.
